Why a universal basic income is not the solution

In the conversation about the social impact of software eating the world, Silicon Valley has been championing one ‘miracle cure’, the basic income. Except it’s not miraculous: it is intellectually simplistic, socially perverse and politically impracticable. Simplicity of use shouldn’t be confused with simplicity of product specifications!
